The Healer

Design ideation and illustration of a healing-based character, Rosaline Aceso.

This character has been through so many revisions this isn't even her official design, just another casual outfit. Supposedly a healer cum poisoner (a reversible power), I used butterflies - the common blue butterfly and pipevine swallowtail - as part of her characterisation. Butterflies have always struck me as delicate and gentle the same way a healing power is.

The blue was chosen specifically for its associations with calmness, loyalty and intelligence.
